Yad Avshalom
There is always someone there for you
Sometimes you cannot get there. Yad Avshalom connects someone who cannot travel to a holy site with someone who is standing there at that moment and willing to say a prayer on their behalf. You choose a site, you send a name, and a short recording of the prayer comes back to you.
How it works

Someone there prays for you
You choose a holy site and send a name. Whoever is standing there at that moment says the prayer for you.

We know they are really there
Their location is verified against the site itself, and they must remain there for several minutes before they can take a request.

And you hear it
You receive a short recording — your name, said there, aloud.
The sites
Holy sites around the world — the Western Wall, Meron, Uman, Djerba and others. Each site has its own geographic boundary, and only someone inside it can verify their presence and take a request.
What we hold, and who can see it
A request holds a first name, a parent's first name, and a category chosen from a fixed list. There is no surname, no contact detail, and no free-text box. We keep that little deliberately, and we keep it closely:
- The name is visible only to someone whose location has been verified at the site you chose, and only while they are there.
- The recording is delivered to you alone. The person who made it cannot play it back — not from our servers and not from their own phone.
- Deleting your account destroys those names and those recordings outright.

We verify that a person was physically at a site and that they submitted a recording. We do not — and cannot — verify the content, sincerity or spiritual efficacy of any prayer. Nothing here is a ruling and we make no religious claim of any kind.
